FATHER MICHAEL MAROTTA, CRM.

The son of Raymond and Sally Toscano, Father Michael was born on February 8, 1959, in Atlantic City, New Jersey. After graduating Holy Spirit High School in Absecon, New Jersey, he entered the Adorno seminary in Ramsey, New Jersey, on August 21 1978, and attended College at Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey.

For the Novitiate he was sent to Rome in 1982 and there he also attended his theological studies at the Saint Thomas University “Angelicum”. He made his Solemn Profession on July 5, 1986, and was ordained a priest by Bishop Robert F. Garner, Auxiliary of Newark, on July 11, 1987, in St. Joseph Church, Lodi, New Jersey. His first mass was the following day in the Church of the Blessed Sacrament in Margate, New Jersey.

His first pastoral assignment was as an Assistant to the Pastor of St. Joseph Church in Lodi before he was sent to Ramsey as Vocation Director and Formator of the Postulants. In the year 2000 he was made Superior of the Adorno seminary in Ramsey and Master of Novices (2001-2003).

In 2006 he returned to St. Joseph Lodi as Superior and was then appointed Pastor in 2007, where he still is happily ministering to the people of God.
