FATHER GIOVANNIE NUNEZ, CRM.

Father Gio was born in Pangutosan, Nabunturan, Compostela Valley Province, Philippines, on April 25, 1983. After completing his elementary and high school studies, he applied and entered the Adorno seminary in Labo, Camarines Norte, Philippines, as one of the first batch of candidates in the year 2002. He studied philosophy at the Diocesan Holy Trinity College Seminary in Labo, made his novitiate in Vinzons and was the first man to take the CRM Vows (Simple Profession) in the Philippines.

For his theological studies, he was sent to the Adorno seminary in Ramsey, New Jersey, and attended classes at Immaculate Conception Seminary, Seton Hall University, South Orange, New Jersey. He made his Solemn Profession on December 10, 2010, in Goose Creek, South Carolina, and was ordained a priest by Most Reverend John Fleesey, Auxiliary Bishop of Newark, in Saint Joseph Church, Lodi, New Jersey, on June 4, 2011.

After a brief stay in the seminary in Ramsey, he was assigned to the seminary of Vinzons, Camarines Norte, where he is presently Formator and Administrator.
