Father Liam
FATHER LIAM REZA PANGANIBAN, CRM.
The son of Dr. William and Elena Panganiban, Father Liam was born on September 19, 1978 in Ahwaz, Iran. At the time his father, a medical doctor, and his mother, a nurse, were living there because of their profession. But actually they came from Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines. Father Liam has one brother, Alex Matthew, and one sister, Ma. Khristine (Vitto).
After finishing his college and philosophical studies at Christ the King Mission Seminary in Quezon City, in 1999 Father Liam made his first contact with the Adorno Fathers and was admitted in the Ramsey seminary in 2000. For his theological studies he attended Immaculate Conception Seminary/Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. He made his Solemn Profession of Vows on December 2, 2006 in Saint Joseph Church, Lodi, New Jersey, and was ordained a priest by Most Reverend David Thompson, Bishop of Charleston, in Immaculate Conception Church, Goose Creek, South Carolina, on June 23, 2007.
His first assignments were Assistant Pastor at Immaculate Conception, Goose Creek (2007), and in 2009 he did studies on Formation at the Salesianum in Rome. In 2010 he was assigned in the Adorno seminary in Vinzons, Philippines, and at the General Chapter of the Order in July 2012, he was elected Superior and Formator in the Adorno House in Ramsey—a position he still holds.
